In a recent Q&A on her newly set-up support platform for blended families, Kate admitted feeling 'really nervous' about being a step-parent and welcoming a new baby into the family.
Speaking candidly in a video shared to her Blended Instagram account, she said: 'I was really really nervous when I was pregnant with Cree, I was worried, is he going to get along with the kids, are they going to be OK?
'I was also worried that Rio already had children and it was the first time I've ever experienced it and I felt like I had a lot of emotions around the whole thing.
'You always dream of experiencing those firsts together, so that made me feel like I didn't really know what I was doing and Rio's going to know everything and I was going to be useless.
'But I feel like that's all in my head and as soon as Cree was born, everything fell into place. I didn't really know what I was doing. But you know what men are like? He was forgot everything too and we went on a journey together.'
