A bug exterminator who says a fellow Iranian expatriate accused him of sexual assault due to their political views has been granted bail in the Supreme Court.
Hassan Nekouei, 43, has pleaded not guilty to sexual intercourse without consent which allegedly occurred at a Kirribilli home on April 17, 2020.
On Monday the court was told Nekouei had been placed on an intensive corrections order just three days prior to the alleged offending, following sexual touching offences against three other women.

The Crown said these were all of a similar predatory nature and related to potential employees brought in under the pretext of becoming waitstaff at a restaurant.
Following his arrest in July Nekouei denied being at the Sydney north shore home at the time of the alleged offending.
But roadway toll receipts and mobile phone records showed his version of events as 'inconsistent' and placed him there at the time, the court was told.
A description of clothing including his 'pest exterminator boots' was given to detectives who later found such items at his home.
Justice Stephen Campbell said the pair got to know each other through sharing a common interest in expatriate Iranian politics.

'The applicant says that the complainant has a reason to wish him ill because they are from opposite sides of the political divide,' Justice Campbell said.
While there was a delay in the woman's complaint, with Nekouei arrested more than a year later, there is evidence she told a friend straight away, the court was told.

But given the lengthy time it will take to commence his trial, expected at the end of 2022, Justice Campbell said Nekouei's risk to the community could be adequately managed.
Nekouei's wife promised $3000 in security to have him released on conditional bail, which includes regular reporting to Parramatta Police Station.
A geographical order was also implemented preventing him from entering Kirribilli while working as a pest management strategies (reviews over at sphere.social) controller.
